Full paper

All authors in APCNDT 2009 may contribute to the special issue of Materials Transactions, a scientific journal jointly published by several societies including JSNDI. For more information on this journal, please visit the website of Materials Transactions managed by the Japan Institute of Metals (JIM).

Key points regarding the submission of Full Paper in the special issue are as follows:

Papers should be written in English and have original content.
Page limit is 10 print pages.
Contributors should bear a part of the publication cost as shown below.
Manuscripts should be submitted in the following manner:
- Period: November 9 to 12, 2009
- Place: Submission desk in PC Room ( Room 421) at the conference site
- Items to be Submitted: Four copies of the manuscript with Cover Sheet prepared according to the instructions below.

Note that the special issue will be edited by the Paper Committee of APCNDT 2009 in JSNDI and published by JIM. Never submit your manuscript directly to JIM. If you submit your manuscript directly to JIM, it will be recognized as a normal paper submitted to JIM and will not be considered as a paper for the special issue. The Paper Committee of APCNDT 2009 will take no responsibility for the manuscript directly submitted to JIM.

The manuscript should be prepared according to the following instructions. For more details, please see the instruction given by JIM.

Commercial A4 size non-transparent sheets should be used.
12 pt font size, 22 pt line pitch, 25 lines per page and about 60 letters per line are preferred typing style.
On the first page, the following items should be typed:
1. Title
2. Authors
3. Affiliation
4. English synopsis
5. Two blank lines
6. Keywords
From the second page onwards, the contents should be in the following order:
1. The main text and Acknowledgements
2. Appendix
3. List of references
4. List of captions of Tables and Figures
5. Tables and Figures on each separate sheets
Page number should be at the bottom center.
The total number of letters and words in the manuscript should be given after the reference section.

Contributors should bear a part of the publication cost. Note that the payment will be claimed not from JSNDI but from JIM.
- 2 printed pages: 20,000 Japanese Yen
- 3 printed pages: 30,000 Japanese Yen
- 4 printed pages: 40,000 Japanese Yen
- 5 printed pages: 50,000 Japanese Yen
- 6 printed pages: 60,000 Japanese Yen
- 7 printed pages: 77,000 Japanese Yen
- 8 printed pages: 90,000 Japanese Yen
- 9 printed pages: 108,000 Japanese Yen
- 10 printed pages: 120,000 Japanese Yen
Contributors will be presented with 50 reprints and on-line access rights for one year free.
When some color pages are requested, the actual cost of 40,000 Japanese Yen per printed page shall be borne by the contributor.
When additional reprint is requested beyond the complimentary 50 copies, the additional reprint charge shall be borne by the contributor.
- 50 copies: 4,000 Japanese Yen
- 100 copies: 8,000 Japanese Yen
- 150 copies: 12,000 Japanese Yen
When contributors request cover page for reprints, the extra surcharge of 12,000 yen shall be applied.
